Taxes
Wadsworth has three automatic tax systems: property tax, income tax, and district tax.
Overview
Taxes are deducted automatically from your cash balance. They fund city projects, county services, and the government treasury. You can reduce your tax burden with Tax Vouchers from Corporate Actions.
Property Tax
Charged monthly per land plot you own. The rate is set by the county government and varies by terrain type and city proximity. Tutorial-reward plots are permanently tax-free. Tax rate is visible on each plot card in the Land dashboard.
Income Tax
A percentage of your gross income (credits from all categories) deducted each month. The base rate is set nationally; city buffs and executive perks can reduce it. Tax vouchers can offset income tax charges.
District Tax
Levied on revenue generated by district businesses. The rate is set by the district type and modified by the managing county. District businesses appear as a separate line item on your tax summary.
Tax Vouchers
Tax vouchers are credit instruments earned through Corporate Actions (expense reimbursements, R&D credits). They offset future tax charges dollar-for-dollar. See the Tax Voucher article for details.
Viewing Your Taxes
Your tax summary is on the Financial Statement page under the Tax section. It breaks down charges by type and shows your tax voucher balance available for offset.
